    Salary Range: $155,700 - $183,500

    This position is within the Office of the Associate Director for Training Operations (TOPS) National Capital Region Training Operations Directorate, Cheltenham, Maryland. This position serves as a Site Director (SD) responsible for the direction, planning, management, and coordination of activities of the Training Delivery Point (TDP) at Cheltenham, MD. The position provides supervision and senior management oversight for the TDP. The position is responsible for managing the operations to ensure delivery of high-quality training responsive to the needs of law enforcement agencies; for formulating and implementing policies which relate to training program requirements, facility use, personnel activities, and budgetary matters; for representing the respective Assistant Director (AD), on matters affecting Center operations; and for managing logistical and support activities at the TDP.

    Typical assignments include:

    ·         Provides confidential counsel and recommendations on a variety of law enforcement training topics to the respective AD and other senior managers.

    ·         Assists senior managers with developing and implementing processes and procedures.

    ·         Oversees management of training development and delivery for the TDP.

    ·         Delivers briefings and presentations to senior level officials including the Director, Deputy Director, high-ranking members of Partner Organizations (POs), Congressional members and staff, and law enforcement leaders.

    ·         Develops strategies for marketing, presenting, defending and sustaining resource levels to support the training programs.

    ·         A commitment to fostering collaboration with a strong focus on community engagement, centered around proactive problem-solving.

    ·         Manages subordinate supervisors who provide the full range of supervisory responsibilities to assigned staff.

    ·         Knowledge of and an ability to evaluate and implement recommendations identified in the Final Report of the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing.

    ·         Develops and implements procedures and internal controls and manages the assignment of work and personnel to ensure equitable utilization of resources and distribution of work.

    ·         Manages assigned program responsibilities, develops and implements training directives and policies; implements the results of program conferences.

    ·         Develops internal controls and program planning documents.

    ·         Prepares budget estimates and administers available funds.

    ·         Supervises the schedule of assigned faculty and facilities, ensures equitable utilization of resources and distribution of workload.

    ·         Provides management oversight to the TDP's programs and related activities; directs projects and reviews specifications for new programs and/or courses, and changes to existing programs or courses.

    ·         Directs the conduct of special surveys, studies, or investigations.

    ·         Directs project planning, report presentation, and student policy and procedures.
