Women in Federal Law Enforcement, Inc. was incorporated in 1999 as a 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation to serve as a professional organization for women and men in federal law enforcement. It is an outgrowth of the former Inter-agency Committee on Women in Federal Law Enforcement that was created in 1978 and co-sponsored by the U. S. Departments of Justice and Treasury. The Foundation is the educational entity and provides for the Annual Leadership training, the Awards and Scholarship Programs, research and other programs throughout a fiscal year. The WIFLE Scholarship Fund, administered by the WIFLE Foundation, Inc., provides scholarships to students pursuing educational opportunities in law enforcement related fields.
