On February 12, 2019 at from 11:30 A.M. - 1:00 PM, WIFLE Sponsor, Peter J. Jeffrey from the Jeffrey Law Group, PLLC will provide a lunchtime class Curves in the Road: A Primer on Federal Employee's Rights and Responsibilities. This course will explore the common pitfalls that may befall Federal Executive Branch Employees during their careers. Topics to be explored include: the pitfalls of social media use; the application of the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch during a lapse in funding; the impact of Executive Order 13839 on settlement negotiations and Giglio impairments; and the intersection of fitness for duty, reasonable accommodation, and disability retirement for Federal Law Enforcement Officers.
This class will be held at the law offices of BakerHostetler, Washington Square 1050 Connecticut Ave. NW Washington, DC 200036-5403. The closest metro station is Farragut North (L street Exit) serviced by the Red line. WIFLE’s General Counsel Barbara Linney has accepted a partnership offer at the law offices of BakerHostetler and we have decided to follow Barbara.
