Webinar on Tue Apr 11, 2023 at 3:00 PM EDT
Quality leadership in law enforcement is arguably more important today than at any other time in modern history. The national narrative and calls for police reform have added complexity to already challenging leadership roles. Moreover, law enforcement organizations may be restructured and reorganized, making agile leaders who can quickly and effectively adapt to new roles essential to their organizations. “Leadership Out of Your Comfort Zone: Best Practices & Proven Strategies for Success” presents an evidence-driven formula and tangible strategies for how individual leaders can succeed in new roles that are not directly related to their core expertise and training. Have you ever been promoted to a leadership position from an outside organization? Are you part of an executive leadership team or command staff with the shortest tenure in your organization, or the shortest tenure in the profession? Have you ever been the only female in a new unit, the only person of color, the youngest, the oldest, the one with a skill-set gap in investigations or as part of a tactical team? This presentation will adapt proven leadership principles for leaders seeking to become more agile and adaptable to succeed in new and challenging roles; roles that require sharpening existing leadership tools, developing new ones, and precise execution to be successful.
