    NIJ and BJA Launch PoliceArmor.org

The National Institute of Justice has decimated information on body armor.  Within this feature is a Female Body Armor Survey.
If you go to Read more about Police Armor here then select Female Body Armor Survey it will bring you to a survey asking you specific questions about your issued body armor. Body Armor that fits is one of the biggest issues for women in law enforcement. Please share this survey with other women in your office.

Below is from the National Institute of Justice: Research, Development, Evaluation
    New Resource on Body Armor
Law enforcement and corrections officers have a new resource for determining how to purchase high-quality, life-saving equipment. PoliceArmor.org features news and information on body armor that meets the standards set forth by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). Provided by the people who write the standards, test the products and promote officer safety; PoliceArmor.org is a one-stop resource for body armor information.

NIJ and the Bureau of Justice Assistance have teamed up to offer information on how to select, purchase, wear, and care for body armor. PoliceArmor.org, hosted by NIJ’s National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center, highlights the NIJ Compliance Testing Program and the Bulletproof Vest Partnership funding guidelines. It also includes accounts of officers’ survival of potentially deadly assaults, and features for chiefs and executives.

    Colleagues:
To further strengthen the FEMA regional offices, each region will soon be led by 2 members of the Senior Executive Service (SES). FEMA is currently recruiting for 8 SES Deputy Regional Administrators, including Boston. https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/393932000. This announcement closes March 6.  Please assist with recruiting with a goal of a strong and diverse group of Deputy Regional Administrators.
Questions should be directed to the POC on the announcement and not the FEB office.
